Girls Bedroom Design – Gymea Bay
Bedroom interior design in Gymea Bay, Sutherland Shire, creating a soft, playful space through layered textures, warm tones and considered styling.
This girls’ bedroom project in Gymea Bay, located in the Sutherland Shire, was designed to feel soft, playful and thoughtfully layered.
The design focuses on a warm, coastal-inspired palette, combining gentle tones with natural textures to create a space that feels both calming and inviting. Each element was carefully selected to balance functionality with a sense of personality, allowing the room to evolve over time.
Layered bedding, soft textiles and curated décor pieces bring depth to the space, while maintaining a cohesive and refined aesthetic. Subtle moments of colour add playfulness without overwhelming the overall calm feel of the room.
The result is a bedroom that feels warm, considered and effortlessly lived-in — designed to grow with its occupants while remaining timeless in style.
Where it all began…
The location: Gymea Bay in the Sutherland Shire.
The client: A young family upgrading their toddler into a big girl bed as they’ve welcomed their baby boy into their life. (Please see how we transformed his Nursery using existing furniture).
The brief: Upgrading a 3 year old into her big girl room. Our client was happy to take our lead on everything, this was a super fun one!
Here are some before photos of the Gymea Bay transformation prior to Arlen Interiors re-decorating.
